Mermaid life + pretending to be a mom

Please tell me this shirt wasn't made for me. Go ahead and try. Because it obviously was. Mermaids have pretty long hair and get to swim all day! I'm 1 for 2 (working on the hair part) Anyways, groopdealz is an online boutique that spits out new deals on the daily (Similar to jane.com, but all different things) So in short, it's heaven. So this weekend was a littles weekend. I've mentioned it before. Basically I nanny for two little sweeties all weekend, Thursday-Sunday (ages 5 & 3) and let me tell YOU. They love to wake up at the most wee hours of the night and come cuddle. Which is totally cute, right? Well, it's cute between the hours of 8am-10pm. After that it's just a whole mess of me rubbing sleep out of my eyes while I figure out what this little person needs at 2am. And then proceeding to get him all snuggled next to me as he has a rigorous karate match in his sleep. It's just wonderful you guys.  Oh and don't you worry, as soon as the sun pokes it's head ever so slightly I get awakened with "the sun is up so its time to get up, Candace!" How these babes live like this is beyond me. I do remember growing up and thinking it was SO cool to be the FIRST kid up. I remember it being some freakish competition of who can wake up first. I am sure our parents loved us for that. I guess the 'One Saturday Morning' cartoons were enough incentive to wake up a the crack of dawn.

More on littles weekend later because obviously that kind of goodness deserves its very own post. I know all you mamas out there are probably just laughing thinking "oh just you wait until you have your own sleepless children!" haha trust me, I cannot wait to live on 4 hours of sleep. I hear you make up the losses during nap time. Oh blessed nap time. Can't wait to have mini Jason's running around. mmmm if they look like him they will be the sweetest, cutest babes ever. <3

    When I was 16, my high school best friend and I spent the night at a home we babysat while the parents went out of town. We watched a 2 and 3 year old. It was insane. And enough for me to still remember those two sleepless nights and lots of crying and fit throwing!

    "pretending to be a mom" hahaha. Welcome to my life!! John knows I want kids so I think he was trying to stall me when we moved here by saying "just find a nanny job" and getting the puppy. Which is good because it is kind of working, I am so happy to leave those kids somedays! And I text John like at least 3 times a day that Ted is so frustrating and I just want to be left alone. Haha. But no really, I still want kids soon. I gave John 3 years. You should have a baby now so I can live vicariously through your life with a baby, and you can live through mine with a dog. deal? And I know what you mean..I like cry sometimes when I look at John and I tell him that I hope I have babies with his huge blue eyes. It makes me crazy lol.

      How old are the boys you nanny?! haha smart man! Jason tried to say I could get a dog but I think I told you our landlord said no pets so that idea was foiled. These kids are a good distraction, though! hahah please have babies!! I dare you (now you have to do it sorry) Ahhh I dunno when we will have kids, sometimes I want them really bad and sometimes (this weekend) I'm totally cool not having kids yet. Decisions decisions!! I'll still live vicariously through you, though :) x

      The boys I watch are 2.5 and 5....sometimes I just want to squeeze them to death and tell them they are the cutest, and sometimes I'm like "I'm never having boys!!" Boys are hard lol.

    Well looks like you're getting some good practice in for when you do become a mommy! Haha! I did the same thing as a kid too. I was always the first up right at the crack of dawn. Now I'm pretty sure I'm getting my payback because my son is the exact same way. This shirt is so cute by the way! I'd definitely rather be a mermaid too!

    I sometimes play "mom" to my nieces and nephews and they are adorable until they get over tired and then I am more than happy to hand them off! I keep telling my mom I'm so far off from having kids and she just laughs and says "we'll see!"
