I will do a post on how I make the headboard once it is done. I've been looking into making one and not only is it like 90% cheaper than buying one, it's SO EASY to just make your own. Here are my room inspiration pictures that I've been referencing constantly:

This is literally my goal. That headboard is GORGEOUS (and also costs about $1500 to buy) I've been looking up ways to make something JUST like it and I've been looking into paints/stains like crazy. I think I know exactly what I am going to do!! :) The pillows kill me. They're not too girly (well besides the fluffy pink one) and I got Jason's approval on the color scheme so we good. I made a secret promise to myself long ago that I will never force my husband to have floral bedding haha nothing wrong with floral bedding!! I just would feel bad making Jason sleep in flowers every night.

I LOVE this, too! The colors and patterns are so cute. I also love the gorgeous print above the bed and want to do something similar with maybe a print filled with butterflies? Too girly?? White bedding is my favorite thing ever.
I had to narrow it down to only those two pictures otherwise I would have 100 different pictures of things and feel like I had to match them all to a T, so these were my favorites!
I also found this little girls room idea, how freaking cute is this?!! When baby girl gets old enough someday, this WILL be her room!
If you guys have any tips for me, throw them my way!! I plan to get a headboard done this week and and ready to go :) Fingers crossed my vision can come to life!

DeleteDefinitely thought the top picture was your actual room and was super jealous. Ha! I LOVE it. I also love white bedding. In our apartment, when the dogs came in from outside the bed was just in the room to the left so if they ran in there they could jump right on the bed and get it all dirty (even after wiping their paws off with a towel). Now that our room is upstairs so they have to walk a ways I'm like, "Should I risk it and buy white bedding?" Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI WISH the top picture was our room haha So freaking cute!! Do white bedding!! just keep the door closed and then no doggy paws can get it dirty :) Or I guess bribery works to teach dogs not to jump on furniture, right? Risk it!!! :)
