Babymoon + the Cliffs Resort

Last week we went on our little babymoon! Jason had a week free between school and starting a new internship so we took advantage of it and booked our last little charade before baby comes! (In only 12 more weeks, oh my gosh!!!) We went to California and started our vacation up north in Pismo beach at the Cliffs Resort. When I was looking up different awesome places to stay in California, the Cliffs resort was one that really stuck out to me because it was right on the edge of the ocean! For some reason I thought it was close to San Diego (it's like 5 hours north of SD haha) soooo that was my little mess up there (pregnancy brain??) but it was so fun staying somewhere new and in a town we've never been to!

The room was so cute and beachy! Plus the bed was so comfy, which is all a prego can ask for these days!

We ate at this place in town called Huckelberry's and it was SO GOOD. I got the stuffed french toast with bananas and caramel on top and almost finished it all because I couldn't stop eating it! There were a lot of super delicious food places in town and even an outlet mall! Of course we only ended up buying baby stuff at the mall :)

We stayed at the Cliffs Resort for 2 days and on the last evening we went down to the beach and just walked it for a while at sunset. There was a sign that said not to pet seals so obviously all we did on our walk was look for seals. We saw one swimming in the ocean and tried to wait for it to come to shore but it wasn't happening. 

Overall it was such a fun stay before we took the drive down to San Diego the next day! So I guess on weekends the house keepers bring cookies to your suite. Sure enough Sunday night they brought us 2 cookies! We had just gotten in from driving all day and poor Jason was a little sick and didn't want anything to to with food. Obviously I ate both cookies thinking J didn't want them. The next day J was like "so where's those cookies?!" and apparently really wanted them so bad. So the whole trip he held that over my head and kept saying he was going to go buy his own and eat both in front of me hahah I felt so bad, I even called the front desk to see if they had anymore cookies.... they didn't! Which is a shame because they were honestly so good. You missed out, Jason ;)

If you are ever in Pismo beach or just California in general, we would for sure recommend staying at the Cliffs Resort! The staff was so friendly and there were a good amount of things we were able to go to in Pismo Beach.  It was the perfect start to our babymoon to just relax and spend time together with just us two before the baby comes. Just make sure to pick a suite with an ocean view and you will love your life :) It's kid friendly too so maybe we will have to come back when baby is here! Plus, another good excuse to go to California :)
