Ever since we started planning our Mexico trip, I decided to really work out! The problem is, I always have a million workout pins on pinterest but I never really know where to start or what works out this and that.
I've been following Kayla Itsines on twitter for a while and she always has AMAZING before and after pictures!! I never bought her program because it is kinda pricy and I couldn't justify spending so much money on something I might not be fully committed it (haha I have a lot of faith in myself, I promise :) )
Anyways, I found one of her first workout plans for sale on ebay so I jumped on it and bought it! I did it for the first few days the first week and then things came up and I didn't make time for it the end of the week and last week was just crazy with different things and I didn't even bother working out (ahhh!!) Mexico is 2 weeks away so the beginning of this week I decided I NEED to do these workouts 100% and finish the 12 week program (well... maybe take a break with Mexico, but that's justifiable, right?! haha maybe I'll make time for beach yoga or a morning run or something)
I found a lot of her workouts on pinterest and I pinned a lot of her workouts to my pinterest board.
The structure is awesome, basically day 1 is lower body workouts, LOTS of squats
This is Kayla's website where you can learn all about her programs: here

day 2 is pure cardio, I go running on the treadmill for like 30-45 minutes
day 3 is all upper body with abs and arms
Day 4 is cardio again with running
and day 5 is full body workout!
I pinned a bunch more that I want to try later on onto my pinterest board found here. Ill be posting before and afters once I am the said AFTER! I've always wanted a cute girly 6pack so that's the plan!

Mexico is so fun! Great excuse to get in shape! Good luck with it!
ReplyDeletethank you!! I haven't been since I was 12 so I'm pretty stoked :) hopefully I'll be semi fit by then haha!
DeleteI love how you don't need machines for these! Mexico is definitely a good motivator!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! Makes it 100x easier to do them at home and save $ on a gym membership haha :)
DeleteI have looked at her workouts, too, but couldn't convince myself to spend the money. I usually stick with Jillian Michaels, but might have to invest in this workout if you get good results!
ReplyDeleteJillian has such amazing workouts, too! I was so surprised to see Kayla's workouts on pinterest aka free!! I've seen little results in the week I've done it so I'm excited for the end result, yay!
DeleteHaha i was JUST in mexico! have fun <333

DeleteI love the Fitness Blender YouTube channel! They have some great cardio videos if you ever don't want to run on the treadmill:)
ReplyDeleteooo I need to look into that! I love youtube video workouts and anything to avoid the treadmill every now and then is totally welcome haha
DeleteThat looks intense but awesome at the same time! Plus it's a well structured plan that gives you some good balance and recovery between muscle groups. You'll kill it before Mexico!

DeleteThis looks AMAZING! I thought I was motivated on Friday, but the weekend made me want to spend a lot more time on the couch instead of the treadmill- so today starts fresh!
ReplyDeletehaha I feel ya, this weekend I was kinda lazy. How did today go?!
DeleteI'm DEF gonna try these. I've spent the last year doing pretty much ALL cardio, so these last few weeks I've been trying to focus more on strength and I really love the circut workouts. WISH I WAS GOING TO MEXICO FOR MOTIVATION. I'm so jealous.
ReplyDeletedo it!! let me know how you like it, I love it so far! I love being sore after because that means I am actually changing my body with these workouts. Keep me updated on your progress! xo
